A ferry called the “Pella, caught fire while traveling between Neweiba,
Egypt and Jordan’s Aqaba port. One unidentified Jordanian passenger
died after jumping into the water in an attempt to escape the fire, while
more than 1,200 passengers have been evacuated from Pella.
